Rolf Bewert, now woodturner at Drumlanrig, spoke about "Lockerbie 25 years on"
Rolf took us through the incident from being one of the first four police on the scene to the end of the Court case at Camp Zeist, and on to his time as Community Policeman in Thornhill. Questions thoughtfully answered touched on Al Magrahi's guilt and compassionate release from jail.
Rotary met on the 21st Dec 1988 in the same room as now and that night is well remembered by many members.
A difficult topic even now after 25 years made worse by the other tragic events of the evening. Condolences to all concerned.
