A talk by Mr Tommy Lawton


 

Our speaker last night was Tommy Lawton,  who is a distant relative of the famous footballer of the same name.
 
Tommy gave an excellent talk and power point on the Forth and Clyde canal with history from the 1700 when it was started with Jacobite money.
 
He has some wonderful pics going back to the early days of photography right thru to the investment that is being done today.
 
They are building a new watersports centre plus old canal warehouses that have been developed into
