RIBI Young Chef Final

The final of the Rotary GB&I Young Chef competition took place on Saturday April 27th at the Gloucestershire College in Cheltenham.  Lydia Jones from Denbigh High School represented the club, Rotary District 1180 and the Rotary region as one of eight finalists.  It is estimated the 6,000 young chefs from all over the British Isles start out on this journey and to be one of the final eight is a wonderful achievement.  Lydia was not placed in the first three but she can be very proud of her progress through to this prestigious final.  

Lydia's menu: 

Starter:    Baked mushrooms with a herb parmesan crumb.

Main Course:    Beef meatballs in a tomato and vegetable ragout served with linguine.

Dessert:    Vanilla panna cotta served with fresh raspberry coulis.
