Club supplies Mosquito Nets for Msaranga in Tanzania, working with the Rotary Club of Arusha as the local contact Club.

CLUB SENDS MOSQUITO NETS TO TANZANIA

The Club's most recent International Project was to send Mosquito Nets to Msaranga in Tanzania to help eliminate the scourge of Maleria in the area.

The International Service Group recently decided to support the work of "Rotarians Eliminating Malaria in Tanzania" (REMIT), which raises funds for

equipment, education, and research into malaria.  They decided to do something really practical and raised money to pay for Mosquito Nets for the village of Msaranga, working with the Rotary Club of Arusha as the local contact Club.

Having raised nearly £4,000 and acquired a District Grant, with a small top-up from REMIT, a total of £5,880 wasavailable to purchase

 3,150 nets in Tanzania.

The mosquito nets have now been distributed to the villagers of Msaranga and photos of the event are shown here, together with  a cutting from the local paper.
