The Rotary Foundation is the subject of Allan's talk. He, of course, is a member of Currie Balerno
Past District Governor and Past President Allan Maclaughlan spoke about The Rotary Foundation.
Allan has a distinguished career as a Rotarian. He has done a huge amount of work particularly for The Rotary Foundation, recently being awarded the Rotary International Citation for Meritorious Service to Foundation
The Rotary Foundation (TRF) is Rotary International's own charity based in Illinois. There is also The Rotary Foundation (UK) which is registered as a charity. TRF is Rotary's only charity and is supported by Rotarians throughout the world. It in turn provides grants to support projects by Clubs in the following categories :-
Peace and conflict resolution
Disease prevention and treatment
Water and sanitation
Maternal and child health
Basic education and literacy
Economic and Community development
and a special project END POLIO NOW
