Hundreds of youngsters all over the country enjoyed a great day out on Wednesday 12 June thanks to Rotary clubs and the charity KidsOut.
KidsOut is a project for which thousands of Rotarians offer their time, help and support in order to bring fun and happiness into the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children. They arrange days out to family friendly and fun places such as adventure parks, the seaside, zoos or even something as simple as a picnic. For many of the children who attend it is often a once in a lifetime experience.
The first Rotary KidsOut Day took place in 1990. Since then, up to 25,000 disadvantaged children have enjoyed a fun day out every year.

more ‘Dictionaries for Life’ is a Rotary initiative to donate dictionaries to children and encourage them to learn new words so that they will be able to use the English language effectively. Modern children may regard it as a 'cordless spell checker'!
