Dogs Trust Summer Open Day and Fun Dog Show 4th August 2013

Sun, Aug 4th 2013 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Great result - The Dogs Trust raised £9300-00 plus and had a record 2200 attending (plus dogs!) A great result we were pleased to be associated with at the Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre between Whitstable and Canterbury.

'On 4 August 2013, 8 Rotarians manned the Dogs Trust Charity Car Parking Open Day.  It was a hot day buzzing with a hubbub of activity.  Spyros & the 'Parking Divas' - Daphne, Jackie & Yvette manned the Whitstable end while the 'Parking Officers' David Bowley, David Mann, Graham Dellow & John Bishop manned the Canterbury end.  There was a non-stop flow of cars coming in and out of the car park all day.  At one point, the queue to the Dogs Trust Open Day was backed up all the way to the Chestfield flyover.  It was double the attendance from last year.  It was a challenge, but we all rallied together and got the job done.  As a 'thank you', we were all given vouchers for a free cup of tea or coffee for helping out at the event.'
