President Graham Smith welcomed 14 other members, and reported a good response of ten members wishing to attend the annual Six Clubs Dinner at the Cairndow Inn on Wednesday September 18.
International convener Douglas Dow reported that Saturday's bookstall in aid of PolioPlus had been cancelled because of bad weather, and said that his committee would decide on another event to raise money for this important rotary cause.
Community Service convener Bill Jones gave details of sponsored city walks on Saturday September 21 in aid of the Yorkhill Childrens Foundation, and asked anyone interested to contact him. He also announced that the second annual Wine Tasting would be held in the Yacht Club on Wednesday November 6.
The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature, currently Scottish Leader, was won by Gordon Burgess.
