President-Elect Bill Deans chaired the meeting, with 10 Rotarians present.
After the meal, Bill Jones gave an informative and entertaining talk on the history of catering in the Royal Navy. The talk covered the period from the Victualling Board in 1793 until the present day.
Bill gave a fine mix of facts on the logistical task involved in supplying food to ships around the world, along with anecdotes from the Navy past and present.
The vote of thanks was given by Alastair Wilson who also won the weekly draw for a whisky miniature.
