Meeting on Monday 2nd September

On Monday 2nd September the District Governor attended and people from the Kwale District Eye Centre, Kenya.

District Governor Ron Daniels gave an excellent thought provoking and motivational speech. He outlined his thoughts on the main challenges for Rotary being membership, completing polio eradication and changing people's lives.

Also on a very busy night we had a talk outlining the work of the Kwale District Eye Centre, Kenya by their Medical Director Dr. Helen Roberts who outlined the work of the Centre and how it had developed from a mud hut to what it is today.   She was accompanied by Dr Samandar Das and Dr Roger Humphry both shown in the photo together with Jim Crow who is a trustee and makes regular visits to the Centre.  The Club through Jim's drive have been a keen supporter and have provided donations to the Eye Centre for specific projects.
