Our Community chair, David opened up his house, Bach y Graig, and garden to hold an Assado lunch on Sunday September 22nd.
Bach y Graig is an Elizabethan house built by Sir Richard Clough in 1567. Although the main house was demolished in about 1817, the two remaining wings were converted into accommodation. Perhaps the main feature of the house is that it is very likely to be one of the first houses in Wales built of bricks, either imported Flemish bricks or bricks made in the Flemish style locally.
