Jazz Night

Fri, Nov 22nd 2013 at 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm

We had an enjoyable evening with the Maine Street Jazzmen and Olive at the Ponteland United Reformed Church.

Having had a very succesful Jazz Night last year, we held a similar the event again this year, but at a different venue.  Acknowledging the support from members of the Ponteland United Reformed Church for our pervious events, we joined with them at their premises on the Broadway in Darras Hall to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the URC.

Once again the Maine Street Jazzmen, and Olive, entertained us well and refreshments were provided during the first break.

The ladies of the Club sold raffle tickets and, including the proceeds of the raffle, the event raised over £1,000. This was shaerd between the church and the Rotary Club with all the proceeds being used for charitable purposes.

Thanks to Bill and Alan for their work in arranging the event.
