Technology Tournament 2014

Fri 7th March 2014 at 09.00 - 16.00

Rotary Schools Technology Tournament 2014

was held at Greenbank School Southport once again. Organised tirelessly by Rotarian Ted Mason and his team with sponsorship from Lattimers Engineering and Tesco, Kew, the competition attracted 17 teams from schools and colleges across Southport.

The task was set - to produce a device to remove a radioactive meteorite from an acrylic box and place in the target area. The meteorite was exactly the same size as a tennis ball. Three levels of difficulty were set for the differing age groups of students taking part.

The advance level winners, Southport College, Lattimers demonstrate the winning device in the video below

Congratulations to all teams who took part this year.
