CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL. ANOTHER RECORD FOR BLANDFORD STOUR ROTARY

Whilst most children in the UK excitedly unwrap their Christmas stocking, elsewhere it's just another day. The shoe box scheme run through Rotary International helps to provide at least a few children with something to enjoy over Christmas, by shipping thousands of shoe boxes full of Christmas gifts, to various countries in Eastern Europe, Africa and importantly this year, the Philippines.

Blandford Stour Rotary has contributed a record number of boxes this year with over 210, thanks to the generosity and hard work of their members and a great deal of help from some local schools and other organisations. These include contributions from Pimperne Primary School, The Dunbury School in Winterborne Whitechurch, Treads, Colin's Community Club and Mortgage Trace in Blandford,
