Some villages in Malawi are not yet connected to any electric grid and are plunged into darkness each night about 6pm. We have joined with other Rotary clubs in the west of Scotland to bring relief by supplying solar lights to villagers at Betere, Makunkha and Mbongondo.

Ian Dickson, District International Service Chairman, from the Rotary Club of Irvine Seagate, travelled to Malawi to purchase the solar lamps locally and present them to various villages.
