Club Meeting ~ Youth Leadership Award Scheme

Jack Rudram arranged for Gillian Matthew, District Youth Services Administrator, of the Rotary Club of Paisley Callants, to speak on the Rotary Youth Leadership Award scheme, and Jack proposed the vote of thanks.


President Graham Smith welcomed eleven other members and guest speaker Gillian Matthew, vice-president of the Paisley Callants club and District 1230 Youth Services Administrator.

Adam Muggoch reported that there were three entrants for the Rotary Young Musician competition, held at Lomond School, and that he was amazed by the standard of the two pianists and flautist. The winner, flautist Lucy Dunn, will go forward to the District 1230 final.

Gillian Matthew spoke about the Rotary Youth Leadership Award scheme, whereby the 24 selected young people, aged about 14, will attend a camp at Auchengillan from July 6-11. One of them will be a member of the Route 81 Youth Club at Garelochhead and will be sponsored by the club at a cost of
