President Graham Smith welcomed twelve other members. The speaker was immediate past president John McCormick, who gave an interesting talk on the subject of Islands and Ferries.
This covered the history of island transport from Viking times, right through to the present day, and he also touched on the links between land ownership, ferry fares, subsidies, depopulation and tourism.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Douglas Dow, and the weekly draw for a whisky miniature was won by Bill Jones.
