Tue, Jun 10th 2014 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Hugh Sweeney spoke on the topic 'Time Out', and Bryan Wight proposed the vote of thanks. Lomond School pupil Anja Miletic attended to present a banner and letter from the Rotary Club of Belgrade Cukarica, her father's club.

President Graham Smith welcomed eleven other members and two guests, local solicitor Jonathon Clinch and Lomond School pupil Anja Miletic.

Anja, who visited the club on December 3, early in her one academic year at the Helensburgh school, paid a return visit to present the club with a banner and letter from the Rotary Club of Belgrade Cukarica, her father's club.

The letter, signed by the Charter president Vladimir Matic and president Aleksandar Kostic, stated: "We wish to thank for extending a warm welcome to our Interact member Anja Miletic at your regular club meeting. We would also like to thank you for the financial support of your club to Anja.

"In the hope we can start and develop inter-club co-operation through some joint projects and mutual visits between our two clubs, we send you our best Rotarian regards."

The speaker was Hugh Sweeney, who gave a very entertaining talk about the delights of being retired for two years and in particular of a two week holiday
