This is the 'flagship' charity event for the Medway Sunlight Rotary Club for 2014 and something we hope to stage every year.
There are currently 16 teams registered, each with 16-20 team members poised to row the 40ft Chinese War canoes across Basin 2 in Chatham Maritime.
Each team will have at least 3 races, subject to weather, and then the top 4 fastest teams will race off for the coveted Trophy - and there is even a prize for the best fancy dress if you fancy a further challenge?

The Dragon Boat Challenge is part of a three day food and drink festival being organised by the Chatham Maritime Trust to coincide with a visit from the Dunkirk Little Ships. The Festival will bring together some amazing food producers, chefs, craftsmen and brewers from across the South East -there will also be music and entertainment for young and old!.
