Message from from Pat Unwin, who re-visited Livangeli School in Kwa Zulu Natal, in February/March 2014:

Thought I'd let you all know that I'm thinking of you!!!!!!!!! Well sometimes!!! N

Sorry for strange group reply but haven't got e mail addresses individually on my i pad so easier to reply to Peter's last e mail and copy you in.

My time at the school has been amazing, it has felt so good to be back.
It has been so good to see all the children and teachers again. There are now 880 children in the school with 56 in the biggest class, in the smallest of rooms. Not an easy task for them but they really did so badly need a follow-up visit. I have observed every teacher, left them with new comments and an action plan.  I also sat down with the head an went over the school development plan that we left them with.  This we have now up-dated.
Now for a few days of me time. I'm off to a game reserve today, until tomorrow. We visted last time just for one drive and didn't manage to see the lions, so I'm hopeful this time.  I have one drive today and another at 6 am tomorrow morning- those lions better be up early!

I drive back up to on Saturday where I am staying with a Rotarian who did some reading training last time with the school. I have a list of reading resources they desperately need at the school so should be able to sort out the order, with your kindly donated money.
Well, see you all TOO soon! Time has gone so quickly.
Love to you all and take care,

Pat
