The fight against Polio
Since 1986 Rotary has been involved with supporting the drive to rid the world of Polio.
At its meeting on Friday 6 June the Rotary Club of Bradford had a presentation from Professor Nicola Stonehouse of Leeds University who, as part of her work in molecular virology, is working on a new Polio vaccine.
She was accompanied by Pelumi Adeyemi a Nigerian student working with Professor Stonehouse who gave a detailed account of his experiences in attempting to deliver the vaccine programme to disparate communities in Nigeria.
In his vote of thanks Rotarian John Parker referred to the fact that Bradford Rotary Club had raised over
