Know your Blood pressure day

Know your Blood Pressure
PRESS RELEASE - NATIONAL KNOW YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE CAMPAIGN The Rotary Club of Congleton are pleased to announce the return of their popular annual Know Your Blood Pressure campaign, in conjunction with the Stroke Association. Taking place at The Bulls Head, Mill Street, Congleton this Saturday 5th April, between 10am-12pm, the local community is invited to attend for a FREE blood pressure health check in a relaxed and friendly environment, with caring medical professionals available to answer any questions you may have. Leaving your blood pressure un-checked, can lead to an unfortunate risk of life threatening medical problems, such as a stroke and irregular heart beat. And dont assume a stroke only happens to the elderly or un-fit, as people of all ages, gender and build can be devastated by a stroke. Get your blood pressure checked for free, whilst you are out shopping. Just 5 minutes of your time COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!! The Rotary Club of Congleton are a very friendly group, who meet weekly to enjoy the company of great friends and good food, to discuss local issues and see how we can help to make our community a better place to live. Rotarians come from all walks of life. We participate in great community events, to raise awareness and funding for charity. We have organised enormously popular events such as the hugely successful annual Swimathon and Congleton Park Bonfire & Fireworks extravaganza, plus a jazz night and youth orchestra concert to name a few. Recent money raised by the Rotary Club of Congleton has helped to provide funding for: * East Cheshire Hospice * Friends for Leisure * Congleton War Memorial * * North West Air Ambulance * Crossroads Care * Congleton Youth Orchestra * * 230 (Congleton) Squadron Air Training Corps * New Life Church * Congleton Museum * * Canine Partners and many more We would be delighted to welcome new members to our friendly club. There are no rules on gender or age, all we ask is that you help us to help others, and enjoy the new friendships that you will develop through regularly attending our social gatherings. For further information on joining our friendly club, and helping your local community, and those in need around the World, call Rotarian Robin Platt on 01260 273358, email robin@talkechem.co.uk, or visit www.congletonrotary.co.uk.
