A Murder Mystery Evening
At the end of March around 50 Wadebridge Rotarians, with their partners and friends, attended an International Evening, organised by Clive Robinson and members of the International Committee. Members were encouraged to dress to a French theme. During the evening there was a murder/mystery play by a group "MURDERS" . . .by Appointment. Guests were entertained before and after an excellent meal prepared by the staff at The Swan Hotel, when the plot was gradually revealed. There was an opportunity to question the 'suspects' to try and solve the murder. Nick Saunders proved to be the ace detective and won the prize. Nick had also organised a 'hands-on-head' quiz which was won by Clive.
The cast of the play then selected the best male and female costume. Patricia Brocklebank was adjuged to have the best female costume, and club President, Graham Renwick, won the male prize.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and proves that Rotarians are not a 'stuffy bunch'. Profits will go towards the cost of sending a donated ambulance to Kosovo by the Overseas Project Team.
