Kids Out at Cattle Country
Shrieks of joy and laughter from hundreds of school children set the scene for another great Rotary Kids Out at the Cattle Country Adventure Park at Berkeley.
This year 440 children from 16 schools converged on the park and for four hours they raced from activity to activity with brief stops for much needed refreshments. Their seemingly inexhaustible energy was a delight to behold as they dived down the Death Slide, zoomed down the wavy slide, jumped on the trampolines or the jumping pillows, took to the swings and tube slides ---- and then started all over again and again.
As usual the largest contingent of more than 100 pupils were brought to the park by the Rotary Club of Gloucester. The other clubs involved were Gloucester Severn, Gloucester Quays, Cheltenham North, Tewkesbury, Ledbury, Nailsea and Backwell, Yate, Bristol Breakfast and Chipping Sodbury.
All activities were monitored by a small army of Rotarians and the helpers who accompanied the pupils.
The event was organised, as before by the Rotary Club of Gloucester who liaised with the clubs and the owners of the Adventure Park and once again lunches and drinks for around 600 were laid on by members of Gloucester Inner Wheel and Gloucester Rotarians.
