PHIL'S WALK - SAUNTON to CROYDE

With such glorious weather Phil thought we should head for the beach. Parking at Saunton Golf Club car park we headed north crossing the main road and up the drive to Saunton Court, an impressive 15th century building on the English Heritage Historic Buildings register. The pathway past the manor took us through a field full of dozens of cows with their young calves which we had to negotiate a way through. Rising to the top of the hill gave as a fabulous vantage point over Saunton beach and eventually Croyde Bay looking at its best. An interesting route eventually led us onto Croyde beach before rising up to the main road. A quaint lookout building we passed was apparently the site of Tim and Jenifer
