Members' annual attempt at demonstrating skills at lawn bowling!
The Rotary Club held their annual bowling tournament at the Buccleuch Club last Thursday evening when the winning rink was Tommy Mulvee, Billy McWatters and Ron Sutherland and the club is indebted to the Buccleuch Club for hosting the event. They retired to the Buccleuch Hotel for a meal thereafter. The event was organised by Bob Kellett. President Sandy Bannerman accompanied Aidan Oldham and Owen Cranston earlier that day to Lockerbie Golf Club for the Rotary Young Golfer of the Year competition when the Hawick youngsters just missed out on the prizes but gave a good account of themselves.
