President Bill Deans conducted his first meeting and welcomed thirteen fellow members. He reported that Lomond School pupil Anja Miletic, who visited the club twice in her one academic year at the Helensburgh school and presented the club with a banner and letter from the Rotary Club of Belgrade Cukarica, her father's club, had received a prize at the Lomond prizegiving.
Adam Muggoch reported that the Young Photographer competition certificates had been received from District 1230, and it was agreed to invite the two principal winners to a club lunch to present them. Jack Rudram reported that, despite repeated attempts, he had been unable to establish from District 1230 whether there had been a district round of the Young Writer competition, but he would make further attempts to seek the required information from district convener Jimmy Burwood.
The weekly raffle for whisky miniature, current Deanston, was won by Douglas Dow.
