President Bill Deans welcomed twelve other members, and announced that the new date for the 50th anniversary dinner would be Thursday November 20.
Derek Hall drew the names of speakers and topics out of the hat to give one minute talks.
The chosen few were Donald Fullarton on Travel by Rail, Ron Dunachie on Billy Connolly, Derek Hall on Most Memorable Person, Hugh Sweeney on Favourite TV Programme, Douglas Dow on Favourite Place in Scotland, Bill Jones on The Family, Gordon Burgess on Favourite Holiday, and Graham Smith on Memorable Sporting Occasion.
Having escaped speaking, Lesley Kennedy was the winner of the weekly draw for a whisky miniature.
