Rushmoor Mallards sports day on 7 th July 2014
Fleet Rotary helped at thel Rushmoor Mallards disability sports club annual sports day. Nine Rotarians and one wife ran the mini games. These were skittles, precision javelin, horseshoes, bean bags and darts.
Chris Wren of Rushmoor Mallards and event organiser wrote "I didnt manage to speak to all of your (Rotary) volunteers before they left so, on behalf of the Mallards Committee, please would you pass on my sincere thanks for their efforts. We had 91 competitors and many people thanked us at the end for a well-run event and thats down in good measure to the efforts of our helpers."
President Peter said " It was a pleasure to help and see so many people with difficulties having fun and to do it with a smile on their face and no disputes at all about the scoring or the event. This is what Rotary is about helping others" Rushmoor Mallards came second overall and Lisa Day won the cup for the leading female entrant.
