Our annual snooker tournament held at Les Dodd's Snooker Centre on Princes Street, followed by a Chinese Banquet at Lings on King Street. A very tense and  tough match tonight with a very high standard of snooker played. Eventually though, the cream rose to the top and a very close and hard fought final was played between finalists, Robin Carter and President Geoff Bigg. The final was scintillating - it was like watching a game of chess played on the green baize. The trophy (donated by Past President Barrie Swan) was finally awarded to this years winner, Robin Carter.

Rotarian David Russell  is currently working in Florida, and brought greetings from President Elect Rusty Herschbein and all members of the Rotary Club of Boca Raton Sunrise, Florida USA. The club are an off-shoot from one of the other three clubs in the area and are about the same size as our club and at the breakfast meeting there were about 32 members present. They appear to be very active on the international scene and proudly displayed about eight flags of countries where they have given service over the years.
