The fisrst heat of the Young Chef Competition was held at Dunblane High School on Wednesday, when 5 aspiring chefs prepared and cooked a two course meal in an hour and a half under the watchful eye of Shaune Hall, Head Chef at Forth Valley College. The winning menu was prepared by Anna McFarland, an S4 pupil at Dunblane High with Hannah Pill, S6 at Queen Victoria School coming a close second. Joanna Brannan (S6), Angus Clelland (S4) and Jenna Fleming (S4) all at Dunblane High, made up the rest of the competitors. Commenting on the overall results, Shaune said he was very impressed by the quality and presentation of all the dishes and praised the young chefs for their skills.Lawrie Orr thanked Shaune, Sheila Nairn from Dunblane High for her support and all the youngsters who had participated.

The 38th Am Am will be held in conjunction with Dunblane New Golf Club on Thursday June 27 2024. Proceeds to Strathcarron Hospice. The golf will be a four ball stableford competition for teams, men and women with a yellow ball and two's competitions.
