President Bill Deans welcomed ten other full members and associate member Phil Hopkinson, back in the area for an Easter visit from his new home in Putney, London.
Youth services convener Adam Muggoch reported that the Helensburgh and West of Scotland winner of the Rotary Young Musician of the Year instrumental competition, Lomond School pupil Ciprian Panaatescu from Romania, a very talented pianist, finished runner-up in the Scotland and Northern England regional final at the Royal Conservatoire in Glasgow on Sunday, being pipped by a rival who was runner-up to him in the recent West final.
The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was both drawn and won by president-elect Lesley Kennedy.
