President Bill Deans welcomed 14 other members, and they were pleased to hear that, following his recent heart attack, Derek Hall is making progress and hopes to be back at the club next Tuesday.

International convener Douglas Dow reported that Helensburgh Boys Brigade had presented the club with a cheque for £120, the entire cost of one Aquabox. A discussion took place on whether the club should donate to the Nepal Earthquake Appeals, and it was agreed to donate £200 through the Ghurka Welfare Fund which Adam Muggoch was familiar with.

The secretary gave notice of the 40th anniversary Charter Dinner of Kilwinning Rotary Club on Friday June 19.

A Can Collection is being held at Helensburgh Co-op on Saturday in aid of the club's youth service activities, and in the absence of organiser Douglas Dow, Alastair Wilson agreed to take charge on the day.

The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Dave Campbell.
