President Bill Deans welcomed nine other members, and the meeting was saddened to learn from Ron Dunachie of the death on Friday of Tillie Jeffrey, wife of former member Ronnie Jeffrey, after a long battle with illness and just a few days before her 80th birthday.
Alastair Wilson thanked all who took part in the can collection in Helensburgh Co-op on Saturday in aid of the club's youth service activities. It raised the disappointingly low sum of £164, but there was limited footfall in the Co-op because of the market being held in Colquhoun Square. Some passers-by commented that they had already given to rotary at the stall in the square run by the Helensburgh Garelochside club.
The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by Lesley Kennedy.
