6:30pm Guest Night - (6:30, NOT 7:30 START!)

Tue, Jul 28th 2015 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Graham Butler - Service above Self

Guest Speaker

Graham Butler - Marathon Runner

Graham Butler is talking about his London Marathon in memory of a friend’s infant son.

He is supporting the Lullaby Trust which helps families bereaved through Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

He chose the charity as his school friend Greg Bedford and wife Jackie sadly lost their 11-week-old son Kai to SIDS in 2009.

Prison officer Graham said the tragedy had a great effect on him, due to his having young children himself, and so he wanted to do something to honour the memory of Kai and help other families.

He has previously raised funds for Julia’s House, the NSPCC, Help for Heroes and with friend and colleague Steve Quine to help Weymouth girl Scarlett Russ, who has cystic fibrosis.
