Hart First Response, Sebastian's Action Trust and Yateley Industries benefit from your donations

Fleet Rotary held an event in Hart Shopping Centre on Saturday 28th February 2015 to let the community know of the three local charities who benefitted from donations collected by the club at Christmas. The displays provided by the three charities attracted a lot of interest

In the press March 2015

The charities were Hart First Response - these voluntary first responders are seen around Fleets centre and at sporting events providing first aid and ambulance services. On site to receive the donation was Dr Graham Brown. He had only been on site for 15 minutes when he was called to provide assistance to a lady who had collapsed in a nearby coffee shop

Graham said We are grateful to Fleet Rotary and the community for supporting us. The 1500 donation will be used to train more volunteers in first aid'

Also represented were Sebastians Action Trust who received 750 - a local charity founded in 2004 following the death of 9 year old Sebastian Gates. Sebastians Action Trust provide respite care and practical and caring support for seriously ill children and their families. Robert Taylor explained that they received no government funding. Their holiday home, Bluebell House at North Waltham, opened its doors in 2011 and has already helped many families

Yateley Industries representative, Tara Lowe said Many people know that we provide employment and home for some of the less able in the community. We will use the 750 donation to help our recently started project to build more living accommodation for those we help

Next years president of Fleet Rotary, Steve Easter, who presented the cheques said We are all delighted by the support we get from the community. We take great care to ensure that the money the public entrust to us goes to worthwhile causes. The three organisations here today are only some of the projects which benefit from your donations'
