Kids Out at Paultons Park

Wed, Jun 10th 2015 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

A wonderful day out for some children from Abbotswood and Brockenhurst Schools. at Paultons Park.

On Wednesday 10th June, Rotarians Dave Smith and George Stephens were joined by Caroline Brace in spending the day with 14 very excited children from Abbotswood Junior School at the annual Rotary Kids Out event at Paultons Park. They were accompanied by staff from the school - Anne Stephens, Special Needs Co-ordinator, and Karen Andrew and Emily Jordan, Learning Support Assistants. Arthur Page also hosted 6 children and 2 members of staff from Brockenhurst Primary School.

The weather was kind to us once again and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. It was lovely to see the nervous children overcome their anxiety and manage to stay on the rides. As always, the packed lunches provided were devoured by the children!

We must have visited nearly every ride in the park - with the exception of Peppa Pig World - much to the children’s delight.

The children from Abbotswood were disappointed when their school minibus arrived to collect them at the end of the afternoon and shouted their thanks to the Rotary members as they waved goodbye. I don’t know who got the most out of the day - the children or the Rotarians!
