Jul 2015 Litter Pick - Cottenham area 2pm

Sat, Jul 11th 2015 at 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

In co-operation with Sustainable Cottenham we will be supporting their environmental efforts.

Clean Up the Hedgerows

'James and Frances Watt, Martin Hudson and Mike Smith worked hard to pick litter from many of Cottenham streets and were sustained by the super baking of Brenda and Christine Ward.

More than 10 bags of recyclable and general litter were collected and finds included a bicycle chain, a pipe and an unrolled tape measure as well as an unopened bar of chocolate! We were thanked by several passers-by and the Sustainable Cottenham group'.

WELL DONE to all involved !

In co-operation with Sustainable Cottenham our Environment Officer arranged a joint project to help keep Cottenham looking spick and span.  We met at the Village Hall, Cottenham Recreation Ground at 2pm for a useful afternoons work ( next to the Primary School on Lambs Lane).

Clothing - robust shoes and trousers, gloves and a coat appropriate to the weather.

Equipment - Pickers, Bag hoops and high vis jackets available.
