Disability Games in Scunthorpe attracts 750 competitors


Well what a huge contribution from Brigg Rotary Club culminated in a fantastic day being enjoyed by in excess of 750 competitors and carers who travelled to the Scunthorpe PODS and Brumby Hall for the Rotary District 1270 Disability Games. 
 
The competitors from all over Lincolnshire & Yorkshire took part in 10 indoor sporting disciplines including Boccia, Kurling, Table Tennis, Swimming, Snooker, Darts, Weight Lifting, Archery , Wheelchair Races & Rifle Shooting. 
 
The medals were presented by The Mayor & Mayoress of Scunthorpe , Rotary 1270 District Governor Wendy Watson, Graham Taylor (ex England Football Manager) , Nick Dakin and Neil Terry who representing a collaboration of regional Tesco stores who had so generously sponsored and supported the Games Event.
 
A fun day was had by all and declared a roaring success.
