Golf Day - A charity fundraising event at Burnham Beeches Golf Club


Burnham Beeches Rotary Club Mike Field Charity Golf Day 29th July 2015

64 golfers enjoyed the superb Burnham Beeches Course in aid of the Iain Rennie Hospice.

The weather was fine, the course was good and the food excellent as was the general feedback from the players.   President Brian Kay, Burnham Beeches Rotary Club, thanked all those for taking part and the MC Mike Swain who has taken over from Mike Field to ensure that the annual charity golf day continues as a permanent fixture in the Club and golfing calendar.

Mrs Gill Field presented the prizes to reward some excellent play.

1st prize - Lost Cause:- Ian Hale, Susie Hale, Philip Pappenheim, Lynn Fitzpatrick.

2nd prize -Turkish Delight:- Vic Cooper, Christine Cooper, John Williams, Deana Hirst.

3rd prize - Fourplay:- Peter Henry, Geoff Simons, Warren Bell, John Robinson.

Long Drive:- David Hills,

Nearest the Pin:- Joan Sommerville and Philip Pappenheim.   

There was much laughter and enjoyment throughout the day, just over £2000 was raised and will be donated to Iain Rennie Hospice.

Our annual Burnham Beeches Rotary Charity Run is a VIRTUAL event and entrants took part during July to September 2022. The funds raised were donated to Shelterbox to help those affected by the Ukraine crisis.

After two years of restrictions we held a Donkey Derby with a difference on Saturday 28th May 2022. There was great arena entertainment, lots of stalls, food offerings, funfair, plus of course - DONKEY RIDES.
