Rotary Walk

Sun, Jun 28th 2015 at 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

This is our second inter club walk. Partly preparing for Nepal, but mainly as a fun day out for all club members

This month's walk will be on 28th June, meeting  at 10.30 at the top of Portesham Hill.

(Grid reference SY 601 869 - the layby at the top of the hill on the right. There is also some parking by the turn to Hardy's slightly further along at SY 601 873)

Had originally planned Wynford Eagle / Compton Vallence but there is a severe nettle problem there!

We will walk along to Kingston Russell Circle, then down from the ridge and up the other side briefly following the Jubilee trail before dropping down again to Little Bredy.

Good weather we can all sit by the lake there for lunch. If not so then there is the porch of the cricket pavilion.

Return to the cars in the afternoon will be via the valley of the stones.

Should any non-walking  partners wish to join us for the picnic they would be more than welcome.

Everybody welcome to call in at 85 Wyke Road after for a cup of tea.

Thinking next to go from Sutton Poyntz as Richard has volunteered, then perhaps north Dorset in August.
