March visit to MacRobert


Rotary club of Stirling  meeting of 15/1/16.

President Peter Mehta welcomed members to a business meeting of the club. There were no visitors.
At a recent council meeting it had been agreed we would lend our banners to be used at the Scottish schools athletic championship. President Peter is to visit the Rotary club of Callender to present the prizes won by them at last year's AM/AM.
The club will continue to support  RYLA , and we are currently looking for a candidate from local schools to attend the 2016 camp. Funding for flood relief ,which will be organised locally be Rotary clubs in the affected areas was also approved. Now that there is a new vehicle,we will resume our involvement with Arion, transporting handicapped youngsters to their various activities.
Secretary Sandy Farquharson has confirmed next year's office bearers to district. President Alan Rankin, SVP Stewart Wilson,and JVP Ranald Ross Watt.  John Rankin reminded us that 30 tickets have been reserved for us for Bridge of Allan Opera's performance of Acorn Antiques The Musical ,to be held at the McRobert from 2nd to 5th of March.
We are again organising the national primary school quiz at the Albert Hall on 19th March. Derek Anderson will need a few helpers on the day. 
The Wylkedin golf match is at Carnoustie on 4th May , and Gardening Scotland at Ingliston on from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th June, when we will be manning our usual stand.
Next week's Speaker's host Martin Ross, Visitor's host Sandy Morrison.
