President's Night

President Peter's big night.

The 2015 President's Night took place this year at Henderson's in the Albert Hall, Stirling. President Peter welcomed the top table guests including Assistant Governor Alistair Spowage and his wife Lindsey. We were royally entertained by musicians Jean and Ron Thewlis and also by two poems from our very own Past President John Rankin. The meal was excellent as usual with many thanks to all the staff at Hendersons who helped make the evening such a success. After the meal Colin Bayes announced all the winners of the various sports trophies, but this year John Rankin lifted all golf trophies as well as one of the fishing competitions for the heaviest brown trout. Malcolm Cordwell-Smith prevented it from being 100% by winning the Ron Philip Angling Cup. Jen Shearer did the honours of presenting all the cups including The Gavel trophy for the Stirling club winning the District 1010 competition and Wylkedin Quaich golf won by David Paterson, Sandy Farquharson, Alan Bradshaw, a golf competition open to all Rotary Clubs in Scotland.
