Enhance and strengthen your Rotary club’s involvement in your local community and recruit potential Rotarians into the Rotary family.

What does a Rotaract Club do?

A Rotaract club gives young people the opportunity to:

  • meet new people and make new friends
  • enjoy fellowship with like minded people
  • to try something new in their life
  • develop leadership & teamwork skills
  • introduces members to the concept of ‘Service’
  • make a difference in their community

Although clubs are sponsored by Rotary, each club is autonomous and organises its own activities, whether it‘s a social activity, a fundraising event or helping in the local community. All Rotaract activities begin at the local, grassroots level, with members addressing their communities’ physical and social needs while promoting international understanding and peace through a framework of friendship and service.

Rotaract clubs work in the local community and raise money for charity just as Rotary clubs do. Rotaract is all about having fun while helping others, much like Rotary really

Sponsoring a Rotaract club

Every Rotary club can sponsor a Rotaract club but as some share common boundaries it can often be beneficial for a new Rotaract club to be jointly sponsored by two or more Rotary clubs. Sponsoring a Rotaract club is a way in which Rotary can bring together those young people who possess the enthusiasm, energy and skills, to help their local, National and International community. By doing so your club will have a positive impact on the lives of young people.

Rotaract will offer your Rotary club:

  • A pool of young people willing to assist with Rotary projects and events
  • By increasing the numbers you can call upon when running a project or event you can reach further into your community and give greater service
  • The opportunity to develop a group of young friends
  • A pool of potential members because
