Cheque presentation to local charities

We met at the Tower House Gallery to present £500 to both KINDA and PNCS.....

On Monday June 29th members of the Knighton and District Rotary Club met at the Tower House Gallery in Knighton to present cheques to local charities. Club President Sheila Smith said “ We have supported many charities, both local and international, this year and  we are proud today to hand out a further donation to both the Presteigne and Norton Community Support ( PNCS) and toKINDA, the Knighton Initiative for Dementia Awareness.” Chris Keeffe from KINDA added “ This generous donation will be ring fenced for a memory café for dementia sufferers and their families”. Gordon Ames from the PNCS also thanked the Rotary Club saying ”This money will go towards a staff room for the support group’s warehouse project based in Presteigne.” Julia Roberts of the Tower House Gallery added “ We greatly appreciate the work the Rotary Club does to support community projects and we are pleased to host this presentation today”.
