ALBERT’S CONCERT - A VITAL ADDITION TO FUNDS

Peter Gonnet and Barry Chalkley visited the Club on Thursday 9 July to deliver  two promised  cheques totalling  £250 – these funds had been donated by the members of St Enodoc Lodge (9226) in memory of their member, Albert Ridgeley.

Peter very graciously and kindly handed the cheques over to President Nick Pickles, saying that the Lodge members were particularly pleased with the choice of the charities Wadebridge Rotary Club had designated (Cornwall Hospice Care and Cornwall Music Service Trust) to receive the donations as he knew they were two of Albert's favourite charities.

These monies will be added to the funds already donated as a result of the Concert and the grand total will then be divided equally between these two great local organisations.   President Nick was delighted to receive the cheques on behalf of Wadebridge Rotary Club and said how pleased he and the Club have been with the community’s response to the recent Concert and thanked the Lodge members for their extreme generosity.
