Who are we and what do we do?

A summary of who we are and what we do

We are a bunch of people, with a range of age and experience, who try to meet up regularly for two principle purposes.    Firstly, to make friends and  enjoy each others' company, and secondly
to work and plan together, as to how we might provide practical support and/or financial assistance to needy people, both in our local community and overseas.

Through sponsorship and collections at Rotary-organised events, we support local charities and we build our trust funds, so that when urgent needs occur, we are in a  position to offer immediate help.    In this context, our main charity is the Rotary Foundation, which handles gift-aid, legacies, covenants and ordinary contributions from  Rotarians and members of the public.
