Technology Tournament 2016

at Greenbank School

Technology Tournament 2016 at Greenbank School.

An excellent competition this year with 17 teams entering. We were delighted to have the Mayor of Sefton, CLLR Stephen Komode visit the tournament and he can be seen in the photos and video along with the President of Southport Links Rotary, Jeff MacCalman and the Tesco Community Champion, Lesley Kirkbride.

Congratulations to all entrants who managed a very difficult task constructing a bridge using basic materials - paper and straws. The task gave the entrants the experience of the use of composite materials - using two relatively flimsy materials together to make something much stronger, a task that all teams managed with varying degress of sucess.
