AN EVENING AT KIA-ORA GARDENS

Wednesday 15th July

Considering we had to travel to Cullompton for it there was a good turn-out for our evening at Kia-Ora Farm & Gardens. It was well worth the trip. Mary Disney has spent years transforming the 10 acre gardens into a plant, shrub and tree paradise intermingled with well kept lawns, lakes, ponds and bog gardens. Her hobby has become a full-time occupation with keeping the garden prepared for the thousands of visitors she gets as a popular member of the National Garden Scheme. It’s worth going there too for the home prepared as we found out. Having spent around 90 mins exploring the delights of the garden we were ready for our fine meal. Little wonder that there was a queue at the end of the evening to purchase the home-made cakes and jams that were on offer to take away with us. If you didn’t come you missed a great evening.
