ROTARY CLUB OF OSWESTRY

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

By-Law 7 Club Meetings - Clause 1

 

The ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING will be held on Monday 11th April 2016 at the Wynnstay Hotel, Oswestry, at 12.45pm for the purpose of:

  1. Receiving the Treasurer’s report and proposed budget and determine the fees for the ensuing year;
  2. Electing any honorary members for the ensuing year; confirmation of David Towers PHF.

[existing Honorary members:, Joyce Manson, , Chairman Oswestry Lions Club, Chairman Oswestry Probus Club.]

  1. Electing the six ordinary members of the Club Council; existing members:

John Neave(13), Mark Liquorish(13) Jenny Edwards (14), David Griffiths(15) Peter Hill (15)and co-opted member Sue Leonard.

*There are 2 vacancies, from the ending of two elected memberships –John Neave and Mark Liquorish and the confirmation of co-opted member Sue Leonard.

Members are elected for 3 years and may not be re-elected for at least one year after expiry.

     5. Confirming the appointment of the Chairmen of Committees as nominated by President     Elect Ian Haigh

6.   Electing one ordinary member onto the Mary Hignett Bequest Fund Committee for three years to 30/6/18, existing members:

 Phil Bowd (to 30/06/16) Graham Moss (to 30/06 2017) Emma Wilde (to 30/06/18) 

 Phil Bowd retires this year.

     7.    Appointing two members to examine the Club’s annual accounts (excluding Charity Trust);

The Existing auditors are Bill Bowen and David Towers. Replacement required for David Towers.

      8.   Appointing Independent Examiner for Rotary Club of Oswestry Charity Trust

The existing appointee is Ralph Harvey-Robson (Partner T A Gittins)

       9.   Electing three representatives (and substitutes) of the Club on the District Council;

[existing representatives: President, President Elect, and Secretary in ensuing year.]

[Substitutes to be from up to three members, approved by Club Council, attending District Council.]

10. Confirming the Trustees of the Rotary Club of Oswestry Charity Trust.

[Existing Trustees; The President, President Elect, Secretary and Treasurer elected by Members for the ensuing year.]
